In my freelance position at Clay Nation, I was responsible for modeling many of the environmental assets used in the digital landscape. Much of this was stylized foliage, following the clay theme and the conceptual drawings created by others on the team.
There was a range of techniques used for creating these. Sculpting was the primary solution for most objects but several other workflows, such as procedural modeling, were utilized during the modeling process.
There were many different types of assets I needed to model during my time there, essentially everything being used outside the central city hubs. More examples of this digital asset (and texturing) work can be seen in the two other “Clay Nation” portfolio posts.
